Well, as DT correctly said in the commentary on WoM, the only time he's said he loved someone was to Adalaide. Though I'm convinced that we'll not get out of the New Year's episodes without the shippers getting their bone too... since whatever we might think of the Doctor/Rose, it's quite clear that RTD is of the shipper's party on that.

I don't know about that - bragging about Elizabeth Tudor seems like the kind of thing that would make River Song laugh. (Assuming, of course, that River wasn't THERE since I'm betting that the line is also doing double-duty as coverage for River Song and whatever BF/books come out two decades from now.)
