It's only a problem, I think, if you assume the Brotherhood is evil and must be defeated with casualties. If the narrative allowed for Magneto to be, in fact, right and victorious, then it changes perspective.

So what we need is a House of M/Genosha storyline. The Sentinels /did/ mass-murder the mutant homeland Magneto created. Magneto was right.
