I turned on CNN after watching Doctor Who's "Midnight" to check up on Ike?

Only to catch this: Train collision in LA kills at least 10!

And you know you're a callow bitch when immediately after finding out you crack the obvious joke: people take the train in LA? Har har har. I'm so not funny.

In conclusion: has anyone ever posited the theory that post-"Midnight", the Doctor dumps his clone because he can't deal with having an echo? I thought it but I'm not enamored.

I think it might have gone somehow like this:

DOCTOR WHO: Oh look, I got a little clone. I always wanted an identical twin brother; we could do the Groucho sketch now (to Donna) Do you know that's not resally a moustache he's got, just a bit of greasepaint, isn't that brilliant?

DOCTOR TWO: WEEelll, maybe not identical, I mean when you consider the influx of human DNA wriggling around inside me cells, I mean really I'm more like Donna's Sister than your brother. Although-

DOCTOR WHO:Sorry just a minute, but are you doing a funny voice then or do I really sound like that?

DOCTOR TWO: Oh Yes!
