Stupid Star Trek designs:
So they blew DS9 up in the last book. (I officially quit reading these when they had Sisko leave his wife and baby because he was freaked about some prophecy, because: clearly this is a sign that no one is keeping this story on the rails.)

And the Federation built a new one. This has some nice Federation features as a render - it LOOKS like a Federation station that's aping the old Cardassian Nor design. I love the garden area (has it replaced the Promenade? I guess Keiko has a job now!)
The only problem is that they decided to make the docking pylons closed-loop inwards, which just makes the original design flaw of DS9 that much worse. IF THE DOCKING PYLONS POINTED OUTWARD, LIKE CLAWS, THEY COULD ACCOMMODATE ANY SIZED-SHIP. Since DS9 is a motherfucking shipping port, it is KIND OF IMPORTANT.
*facepalm*
I will probably read the Una McCormick one, and skips the others.
