That Way Lies Madness by Ygrawn.
A perfect West Wing story from Ygrawn. I feel like telling ANY details at all would spoil the experience for you -- but it's one of those classic post-series AUs that my fandom always did so well.
But it was hard, too, because Sam wasn’t Josh.
He was something else, a different person. For years, I thought we were friends because that was the closest we could each get to Josh. But that isn’t true. We’re friends because that’s the closest we can get to each other. And that makes an us – a SamandDonna, one word rolling off the tongue – that lives in a Josh-free environment.
He constantly threatens to invade, though.

Another wild AU story; this one has Jack Harkness landing in 2007, and finding John Hart in charge of London Torchwood. London Torchwood captured the Doctor in 1969...

A completely fascinating version of the Doctor and the Master when they were Theta and Koschei. It's full of the clever sort of things I've always really liked, the meaning of a name and how one sort of gently saunters downward into evil...

There are some things you rec because they are amazing. The voice, the voice! It's another story about how Donna Noble got her groove back.
