In which some unctuous reporter gets nipped by Barney the Dog.

1. This breed has a notorious temper.

2. And jaws the size of a German Shepard.

3. And they really don't like being cornered or manhandled.

4. Crabbiness factor is especially high as they age.

So not at all surprised this guy got nipped. At least Sterling used to give a warning growl.

I'm watching Doctor Who Season Three on a SciFi marathon.

1. The Lazurus Affair is a pretty funny episode how they skirt around the word 'regeneration', since that's obviously what the whole damn episode is about, some guy who wants to regenerate and then it goes horribly wrong with bad CGI.

2. But it will never stop being funny, the Doctor and Martha's mom's introduction.

3. Sometimes the Doctor's 'I am the Last Time Lord and I decide what's wrong and right' is very awesome. (Family of Blood/Human Nature) But when used inappropriately, ala the Daleks in Manhattan and this episode it is pretty epic lame. Not every episode has to be the end of the world, guys.

4. Also, this episode does make the Doctor kind of stupid in that he's not really curious about why and how some human being got it into his brain that he could 'rejuvenate' all his cells.

I have to take my mom to the doctor's now, because she's claiming she's dizzy. (And yet decided to take a shower, eyeroll.)

And now for something different:

I bust out laughing at this when it happened. "...but obviously, a lot of shelter dogs are mutts. Like me."

In seriousness: I love that he's got a little placard that says "Office of the President-Elect" and the sheer chutzpah in holding a press conference and more or less saying he's going to fucking start working RIGHT NOW. Shadow government for the win. Normally I'd be opposed to such power grabbing, but to be honest, our current administration is so weak and ill-respected that I'm glad he's serious business about getting to work.

I just did three really rough pages of my nanomango, which brings me up to 4/30.

Blah. I need to know a lot more about the biology of Coelophysis. The toes are stubbier than I've been drawing them. (On the other hand, fuck it, Coelophysis is basically the type specimen of theropods, so no one will give a shit. It is truly the original generic dinosaur.)
