My mom let the rabbit out to play, and it ate through the modem's power cord. This is about the nine millionth time I've lectured her to keep a better watch on the rabbit when he's out, and the nine millionth time he's eaten a cord. I'm sure I have a replacement 12volt somewhere, but I convinced her to take me to Wal-Mart, buy a cheap soldiering gun and fix it.

La, behold: all those electronics classes came in handy for something. I even showed my brother how to do it, so now he can help fix things.

Now: back to Dawkins on evolution.

Have you ever read the excellent book Dawkins wrote in which he traces the evolution of the human lineage all the way back to prokaryotes, by the points at which we diverged from other lineages? Or is that the one you're reading?

Rosanna thought it was pretty good, though she disagrees with some of his cladistics.
