That sort of confidence in the writing is pretty sexy. Maybe television should take a step back. Very well put! For all the things that TNG didn't get quite right, the one thing they excelled at was writing character driven TV with likeable and believably characters that both writers and viewers cared about. Man, I miss that in newer shows.
