Bette Midler

skywaterblueTonight my dad had tickets to Bette Midler's show at the Colosseum. While I don't know if I ever would pay a hundred something dollars to have seen this on its own, I really enjoyed it. There's a big band and flouncy costumes and showgirls. You can tell Midler has a lot of love for classic Vegas shows - the dancers have a couple of numbers on their own and I think I WOULD have paid a hundred something dollars to see 90 minutes of their numbers.
I think Midler's jokes are a little funnier than her songs. Sadly, she did not do 'I Put A Spell On You', which is what I really, really wanted to see. 'Hocus Pocus' is the best Halloween movie EVER.
Mainly I'd like to complain about my mother, who afterward sniffed that she wished she had went to church instead. No appreciation or ability to just enjoy a show, my mother.
I wore some new clothes, because I went out to Target to buy this awesome red plaid fedora that had been taunting me. And then I needed something that went with the fedora. I also got a house dress and some lazy slacking around the house pants.
