I can pick up most of it from context, although I'm not sure I could define offhand exactly what a shlemiel or a goniff is.

Shlemiel is a clutz (er), clumsy. Someone who is unintentionally awkward. I get called that all the time.

A goniff is a bastard who scams you with fine print. OH! Goniffs are rule lawyers, basically.
