Speaking of non canon pairings, though: where do the Toby/Ellie Bartlet stories come from? Not that I'm opposed, I'm just curious. I don't recall them ever sharing a scene together. Is it based on "they both of have issues with Jed and she used to be a redhead before going blonde"?
