1. Bob Orci takes your questions about the movie.
One fan asks if the 10,000 survivors number is low because surely Vulcan has off-worlders, and Orci thinks about it and conceeds: the 10,000 only applies to Vulcan itself. Also, the Katric Arc is where they keep the katras, and the Vulcan Elders were doing something with them.
Admiral Archer is the same Archer from Enterprise.
Spock and Uhura kiss in the elevator because 'non-Trekkies wouldn't know the finger thing'. And Spock and Kirk?
As for Spock’s mother… we haven’t mentioned this too much, but one of the inspirations for the Kirk/Spock relationship was the friendship between Paul McCartney and John Lennon. In a way, they were opposites, but they bonded early in life because they both suffered through the loss of A PARENT in childhood.
... marry me, Mr. Orci?
On Nokia and Budweiser and doesn't that make the Federation not socialist anymore: Not if those companies have been nationalized!
I also love in places where he doesn't know, he suggests, "Write fanfiction!" Whee.
Cesperanza has a totally awesome story about David Tennant for you all to enjoy.
