my girlfriend and i noted that we hadn't actually listened to him this much in years (other than clips on the daily show).

i loved when he said: drug users set a bad example for kids (oh yeah? really? go do some cocaine, is what i said in my head - and maybe out loud).

i equally enjoyed him brushing past bob costas's questions about china's abuses of human rights. classic georgie!

more ponderances:
- i wonder if he thought he'd be sitting down to talk only about sports.
- how much did it cost to fly him + his entourage to china so he could strong arm putin and watch michael phelps swim? are we serious with this?

i'm not usually into the olympics, but i've know found that the missus is WAY into it. like she knows the names of EVERYTHING.

I had the same thoughts -- especially when he punctuated his 'kids, don't do drugs' routine with a classic cokehead addict's snort.

I know, right? Did he skip clearing brush this year and decide to go to the Olympics? I guess if you compare it to 'clearing brush' we're probably actually getting MORE bang for our buck, somehow.
