I think this profile of Maurice Sendak in the NYT might be the saddest thing ever written.

Way to not puff the puff piece, NYT. :( Reading this made me feel like bleeding on something.

Did you ever read the interview Art Spiegelman did with Sendak? They did it in comic strip form with SPiegelman doing one half of each panel and Sendak doing the other. I think it ran in the New Yorker; I'll see if I can scan it for you.
