Also: my driving test is tomorrow. I don't know how to parallel park. (And remain unconvinced this is a skill I need for driving in Las Vegas.)

You may not need parallel parking in Las Vegas, but it's useful in almost any other city I've driven in.

Have you tried to do it? It's not too tough once you know where on your car to align with the other car's bumper and when and how to turn the wheel... You could easily learn it in a day. The trick is figuring out where on your car to start the wheel turn. My dad always used "line up the right side mirror with the guy's bumper" but I don't know if that holds true for every car.
