There's going to be an Inspector Spacetime web series!

None of that’s necessary anymore. When everyone has easy access to their favorite diversions and every diversion comes with a rabbit hole’s worth of extra features and deleted scenes and hidden hacks to tumble down and never emerge from, then we’re all just adding to an ever-swelling, soon-to-erupt volcano of trivia, re-contextualized and forever rebooted. We’re on the brink of Etewaf: Everything That Ever Was—Available Forever.

-- Patton Oswalt, Wake Up, Geek Culture. Time to Die.

There was a point in my life when I would have reacted to the above news with unheralded glee, but I increasingly find the commodification of fandom to be disturbing. A TV show on NBC markets itself to geek culture at Gallifrey One by announcing a webseries of the fictional show created to lampoon Doctor Who and what does ANY of that mean except money for NBC and the fog of nothingness to the minds ready to receive it?

I know. Killer of fun, am I. But we won, and it BLOWS.

I understand your point, but my answer would be: that is not fandom. That is corporations trying to monetize fandom, as they have been at least since the first Doctor Who and Star Trek merchandise hit the shelves.

Meanwhile, fandom will go on merrily doing its own thing, including writing tons of Inspector Spacetime fic, which may or may not relate to the web series, but from which NBC will not profit.

Fandom isn't uncomplicit in big media, certainly, but I also think we're a lot less co-opted and compliant than big media would like.

Every season I wonder what Louis Vuitton Handbags (http://www.louisvuittondamierspeedyhandbags.com) will create. I know I won’t like everything, but I can count on Louis Vuitton to make a few bags that are absolutely lust-worthy, it’s just what they do. When we shared a closer look at their Spring 2012 collection, I remember not being entirely impressed. Of course there was a theme – lightness and femininity paired with a whimsical touch – but as many have said, the bags look like they are made out of plastic (which they aren’t, just look at the price tags).
But nestled into this collection is a perfect summer piece, the Louis Vuitton Speedy (http://www.louisvuittondamierspeedyhandbags.com) North South bag. Nautical blue and cream calfskin leather offset one another in a take on the

I spent last week in Florida for what was supposed to be a last hurrah of summer from Gucci Outlet Store ; the only problems with that plan were Tropical Storm Isaac and a wicked cold I brought from New York. What was supposed to be a week of fun in the sun ended up being a week of rest inside, but that meant more time with my family and more time to shop online. Before I left for Florida, I went to the Gucci NYC Flagship to check out their new stirrup collection and I was hooked. From the more structured options to the soft stirrup, there is something for everyone and every different lifestyle. While I ended up adding a new Gucci bag to my collection (post to come soon), there was another bag on my radar that I would have liked to add; the only problem was the price tag from Gucci Online Shopping (http://authenticguccihandbagsoutletusa.com).

It’s finally Friday, and we are ending the week with a little Louis Vuitton fun with photos! Photographer Vincent Bousserez had an idea similar to the movie Night at the Museum, but in this case, the Louis Vuitton Champs-Elysees store comes to life at night, and tiny figures take care and engage with beloved items. The photos are whimsical and magical and bring back childhood feelings of tiny little people taking care of our world when we are asleep.
While some of the miniatures are hard at work keeping Louis Vuitton items clean, others are playing golf amidst Monogram canvas. I don’t know which is my favorite Designer Handbags (http://www.designerhandbagsoutletusa.net), because they all give me such a feeling of joy. Peruse the photos by clicking below and visit .
