TrekMovie reports here.

I was really looking forward to buying these, actually. And it's depressing because that's four slots that could have been a DS9 book. This shit worries me, mainly because I like the people making Trek books, and I want to buy them.

I would have read the shit out of those, and I haven't bought a Trek novel in years. Boo.

Me too. I'm bummed.

That's awful. They never had a problem with writing books when the series were on TV. :-(

I just picked up the new enterprise one yesterday, about the Romulan war, so far it's not that bad.

I was really considering picking that up. I'm way into the Trek books that get into the political history of the universe. And let's face it, Enterprise should have been about the mysterious Romulans and the war from the very start.

I'm about halfway through it now and it just keeps getting better. It's very politically minded, and as an added bonus throws in some tidbits about the origin of the Kobiyashi Maru scenario.

I think there's an Enterprise episode where Archer has to do the original one, but I'm not sure.

Same here. I would have bought books in the Reboot 'verse even though I wasn't as impressed with it as some of my Trekkie firends. And the possible loss of DS9 books is a bummer too. I want to keep the (ever-shrinking) Trek section of my local Barnes & Noble in existence, at least, but that means they have to make stuff I'll buy, i.e., not Mirror Universe or TOS stuff. Now, if they had the entire S.C.E. series and all the NF books, I'd buy the entire series (except the few I already have) in both cases.
